Our advanced Purolyte® electrolyte solutions are used in both disposable lithium batteries and rechargeable lithium-ion batteries found in across a broad spectrum of applications including pacemakers, portable electronic devices, and newly developing electric and hybrid electric vehicles. In addition to lithium battery electrolytes, Novolyte's ultracapacitor electrolytes are helping to advance energy storage solutions that will enable broader usage of power produced by solar arrays and wind farms, and help utilities maximize efficiencies of existing facilities to avoid building new plants.
Novolyte's specialty solvents provide advantaged products that are used in a multitude of applications that continue to grow. Our line of solvents provides a range of benefits that find use in everything from broad industrial applications to making cancer treatment drugs to specialized processes such as gold recovery. Our new green solvents are replacing less environmentally friendly alternatives in emissive applications such as printer inks, coatings, and cleaning materials.
Novolyte's Specialty Materials include our custom synthesis business and a line of aryl phosphines. The latter find use as building blocks for a variety of specialty applications such as pharma intermediates and ligands and as additives that improve the strength of Nylon airbags in automobiles or increase the color fastness of carpets. The customs synthesis business provides unique services to our customers including high-pressure custom manufacturing capabilities.
We service our customers from our state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Baton Rouge, Louisiana USA and Suzhou, China as well as distribution centers located around the globe. We serve our European customers through our strong distributor relationship with Barentz NV. The business is dedicated to sustainable technologies and has demonstrated our commitment to moving toward reduced environmental impact through projects such as landfill gas usage or process changes that reduce waste.
