Suzhou Plant now ISO/TS 16949:2009 Certified
Novolyte’s Suzhou (China) based electrolyte manufacturing site has received certification for quality management systems ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO9000:2008. These certifications serve as the quality cornerstone for the manufacture of Lithium based electrolyte and supercapacitor electrolyte solutions used in rechargeable Li-ion batteries and supercapacitors in automotive applications. The successful TS certification of electrolyte manufacturing operations at the Suzhou site positions Novolyte as the first global electrolyte producer within Asia to achieve the TS certification.
ISO/TS16949 is an ISO technical specification focused towards the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. TS16949 applies to the design/development, production and, when relevant, installation and servicing of automotive-related products.
To meet the most stringent specifications and standards that are set by the automotive segment which is a key growth segment for Novolyte Technologies, we have adopted and implemented a strong standard of quality and operations excellence excellence aimed at achieving the TS 16949 certification and this key strategic action will improve our positioning as a key electrolyte supplier to the fast growing electric vehicle segment.
