Yarn Making with 500 to 1500ppm Novolyte Phosphines
Novolyte phosphines BZPA, NaBZPA, and TOPAK have long been used in yarn making at levels of 500–1500ppm to:
- Increase production rates
- Allow higher spinning temperature without yellowing
- Decrease yarn breakage during spinning
- Increase tensile strength
- NEW: Use with an optical brightener to further increase whiteness (See Invista patent application US 20080090945)
Novolyte's diphenyl chlorophosphine (DPC) is used to prepare BINAP, PhanePhos, P-Phos, BINAM, SpiroP, and other catalysts used to prepare chiral amines and alcohols. Phenyl dichlorophosphine (BPD) is used to prepare photoinitiators.
